QOA
Nina creates immersive sonic experiences, multichannel installations and also visual work, that absorbs the listener in a microcosm of experimental frequencies. They holds a diploma in Expanded Music at UNSAM and Electronic Arts at UNTREF (Argentina). Also they is a researcher in the University of the Arts (Argentina)
Their current research focuses in the entanglement between vibration, sound, perception and space. They explores the sounds and resonances of specific places searching to make the imperceptible audible.
Qoa's music is published in different international labels (Au
ral Canyon, Krut Records, Fluere Tapes) and they presents it in important locations and festivals such as Mutek Argentina, San francisco & Japan, Planetarium of Buenos Aires. Nina also makes art installationts which they presented at Oifuturo Museum (Brasil), Andreani Foundation, Bienal SUR, Museo MACRO (Argentina) Agora Collective (Berlin), Flux Factory (NY, USA).
In 2022 the artist carried out a sound research project in the Yungas of Jujuy, Argentina, one of the largest fresh water reserves in the world. They works with listening as a tool to tune in with the environment around us in pursuit of possible worlds of coexistence and ecological collaboration.
Qoa is one of the 8th Latin American artists selected for Nicolas Jaar's Ladridos project, to carry out a residency in Chile in 2023.
